After the success last term of entering this cricket festival it was decided to take all 60 Year 2 children to this event. We were really pleased that the sun was out and the children were a credit to the school. They loved taking part in the 5 activities and we certainly have many sporting Year 2 children who will represent The Berkeley in the future.

It was great to see a huge number of children representing The Berkeley during the track and field events for the annual Town Sports events. 19/06/19 - Year 5 & 6 Tri Golf
After entering the tri golf competition for the first time last year and winning meant the pressure was on to repeat the feat this year. With the Year 6 children away in York, the two teams that were entered from The Berkeley were all Year 5 children. They did incredibly well and ended up winning the competition. They will now represent Crewe and Nantwich at the Cheshire Summer Games in July. Well done to you all!

Well done girls!
22/01/19 - Dodgeball
The Berkeley took part in a dodgeball competition this week with two groups of children taking part. We were really pleased to be the only school who took an all girl team to the event and they showed how good they were by winning many of their games. Brilliant girls! The boys team also did very well and were only narrowly beaten in one game. They qualified in second place overall and will now go to the dodgeball finals in two weeks time.

28/11/18 – Indoor Athletics
It was a fantastic afternoon at the Indoor Athletics today with 44 children representing The Berkeley at the indoor athletics competition. We were so pleased to take three teams to the dodgeball festival at Malbank High School - a Year 6 team, a Year 5 team and an all girls team (the only school who did). The behaviour and sportsmanship of all three teams was exemplary and it was fantastic to see the children having so much fun. We now look forward to the next dodgeball event taking place next term.

The children are now looking forward to playing in further games after the half term.
15/10/18 – Change 4 Life Champions Training
Six of our Year 5/6 children were chosen to attend a Change4Life Champions Training Workshop at South Cheshire College. These children are members of the sports council and were taught new skills so that they can help to organise and deliver activities in school to encourage everyone to be active at playtimes. The children were fantastic ambassadors for the school and came back with lots of ideas that they want to try out.
12/10/18 – Year 2 Football
The Year two children who took part were fantastic ambassadors for our school and not only played brilliantly well (won 3, drew 3 and lost only one) but also behaved in such a sensible way. We are really proud of all the children who took part as this was the first time many of these children has represented The Berkeley against other schools.
