I have been deputy headteacher at The Berkeley for the last five years and joined the Governing Body in the last 12 months. My previous experiences have been in three contrasting settings in Nantwich, Crewe and Chester. In all of these schools I have been part of the Senior Leadership Team and have nearly 20 years of working in education. My focus is always to support the school in improving standards so that the children achieve to the best of their ability. As a father of two children who are now in high school, I know the importance of primary education and I want every child to have a positive start to life at school.
I am a keen sportsman and enjoy getting involved in as many sports teams as possible at school. I know the physical and mental benefits of sport and believe physical exercise should play a huge part in the children's lives. In my role as governor, I am on the Finance, Staffing and House Committee and work closely with Carolyn, the headteacher, to support the strategic direction and development of the school.
