I became a Governor at Berkeley in July 2026 and am very pleased to be able to play a part in supporting the school and its wider community. I believe that every child should be given the encouragement, support and opportunities they need to develop their confidence, enjoy learning and fulfil their potential. I am keen to use my experience and skills to make a positive contribution to the school and help support its continued development.
I bring more than 30 years of experience across the NHS and private sector, with a career focused on project management, business operations and helping organisations improve. I have worked on a wide range of projects, often involving significant change, and have experience of working with senior leaders, colleagues and different groups of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. Most recently, I worked as a Senior Project Manager in the NHS, where I supported transformation and cost improvement programmes, as well as providing support around performance, governance and reporting.
Sustainability has also been an important part of my work within the NHS. This has given me an appreciation of the need to consider the environmental impact of the way organisations operate and to find practical ways of working more sustainably. As a governor, I would be keen to bring this experience to the school and explore opportunities to support its sustainability ambitions, while helping children and young people develop an understanding of the importance of caring for our environment.
I am looking forward to becoming more involved in the life of the school and getting to know the staff, pupils, families and fellow governors. I hope to bring my experience, enthusiasm and practical approach to the role and make a positive contribution to the school and its future. I am very pleased to have the opportunity to be part of the Governing Board and to support the school community.
