Spring 2020

For the second half of the spring term, the children decided that they would like to know about endangered animals. We will be learning about them and how we can help to protect these animals through our talk4writing text, 'Oi! Get Off Our Train!'

What Do We Know About The Dinosaurs?

This term, we are going to be learning all about dinosaurs! The children have helped to decide what we will be learning about by asking questions that they would like to find the answers to.

Our Talk4Writing text for the first half term is 'Dinosaur Roar!' We will be learning and sequencing the story and using the language to develop our vocabulary.

The role play areas in each class will change often to enable the children to discover and investigate the dinosaur world.

We went on a dinosaur hunt and found fossils, bones, skin and even dinosaur poo!

Dough Disco & Squiggle While You Wiggle

We have been getting the children to practice their gross and fine motor skills by joining in with the Dough Disco and Squiggle While You Wiggle. We do these every morning after registration to get the children active and ready for the day ahead. The Dough Disco involves using play-doh to join in with movements to help support their fine motor skills. Squiggle While You Wiggle uses scarves to practise gross motor skills and will help with developing handwriting skills. They are a really fun way to start the day and the children love getting active!
