Thursday

Read through the poem again, what do you notice about the words at the end of each line?

Today you are going to have a look at words that rhyme. Rhyming words are words that sound the same, for example cat, mat. Sometimes the spelling can be different but the words still sound the same, for example, go, slow.

Open and complete the task ‘rhyming words activity sheet’. As always you can print and write on the sheet or write your answers straight into your book.

Now have a look at the poem from yesterday again, can you spot the rhyming words? If you have printed the sheet you could circle or underline the words that rhyme, or you could talk about the words with a grown up.
