LO:  Can I choose  effective vocabulary and grammar to help plan my writing?

TASK 1 (10 mins)

Children choose their beast (from pictures on IWB) and complete the Mood Palette sheet. Children then share this with a partner and talk about how their descriptions have brought the beast to life. Comment on each other’s Mood Palette work and add to them, if necessary.

 

TASK 2 (20- 30 mins)

Children practise turning the mood palette sheet into relative clause sentences which are recorded in books
