Friday 10th July 2020

Good morning Year 1 it’s Friday again! We hope you’ve all had a great week and are looking forward to a relaxing weekend, hopefully with a little bit of sunshine!

Today’s activities are all about having fun! We’ve planned some great games for you to play while practising the skills you’ve learned this week in English and Maths how exciting!
I’ve also added links to some superhero drawing videos for you to have a go at below, as I know how much the children in my bubble enjoy drawing! It would be great to see some of your drawings on Seesaw and we will also share some from school!

Have a super day and a fantastic weekend!

Thursday 9th July

Good morning little buddies, Thursday already, its very strange that its near the Summer Holidays considering we have not been back long but that wont stop us carrying on our learning and having fun in school!

Today we are solving problems to do with direction in maths, with a special guess who theme. In Literacy it is another comprehension activity.

Today I thought I would wait until the children in my bubble came in before posting our morning message and we could share some of our favourite jokes with you!

'Why did the cow cross the road? It wanted to go to the Moooo-vies' Amelia

'Why did the cow go to space? It wanted to go to the Moooooo-n' Sam

'What did the left bum cheek say to the right bum cheek? You crack me up' Scarlett

'Why was the football pitch a triangle? Because someone took a corner!' Travis

'Why did the boomerang not come back? Because it was just a stick' Albie

Good morning everyone, we are half way through another week already! I hope you’ve been enjoying your week so far, it’s been great to see what you’ve been up to on Seesaw.
Today, we are going to be looking at comprehension in English and describing position in Maths.
Here is a riddle to solve before you get started this morning...

What has two hands and a face but no arms or legs?

Let is know if you manage to solve it!

Have a great day!

Tuesday 7th July

Good morning little buddies! Whilst we know most of you are back with us now, but hopefully you’re still being as helpful at home, or at least not making too much mess!

In maths today we are carrying on learning about turns and direction whilst in literacy we are becoming sentence unscramblers!

We are still so proud of you and how you have behaved since coming back after the lockdown and I hope you are bringing as much happiness to everyone at home as you are to us at school.

Monday 6th July 2020

Good morning everyone!

It is Monday again, where do the weeks go? We hope you all had a lovely weekend. We have yet another packed week of home learning planned for those of you at home. Today our literacy work is focusing on capital and lower case letters, try your best to form all your letters correctly. The work for maths is about position and direction!

Even though the weather may not be as sunny as it has been, now that it is July I am getting into summer holiday mode! Below there is a spot the difference activity, see if you can have a go at finding the differences between each of the beach pictures. There is also some new seaside themed crafts to have a go at. Click on the art & crafts page under topic.

Have a great week everyone, I am looking forward to seeing what you have been doing on SeeSaw.
