Thursday 11th of June
Hello little buddies in Year 1. I hope you're all working hard and still smiling, i've been looking through your books at school today and I cant believe how hard you were working at school.
In literacy today you are going to be doing a healthy eating quiz and sorting healthy foods. You are even going to plan a healthy meal for your family. Maybe you could help out with tea tonight?
In maths you are going to be adding equal groups, and as ever i'd love to see your hard work on seesaw. You always amaze and impress me with your ingenious ways of using counters and different objects!
The weather continues to mess us around, sometimes its wet cold and windy and other times its sunny and warm. Be prepared if you do go outside that it could change at any time!
What goes up when the rain comes down?

Tuesday 9th June
Good morning little buddies! I hope you're still smiling and laughing at home and being helpful. Its been great to see what you've been doing and even answering some questions you set for us. It has also been lovely to see a few more of you around school!
Today's literacy is a look at the twinkle twinkle little star rhyme, but with a twist, and in maths you will be counting in fives and using your knowledge of that to solve some questions.
As ever stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you all as soon as we can. Hopefully the sun will shine a little more, I think I prefer it to the rain.

"It's raining cats and dogs!" Shouted Mrs Moores.
"I know" replied Mrs Kofon, "I've just trodden in a poodle!"

Good morning lovely year 1's!
We hope you enjoyed your weekend despite the weather! Perhaps you went out on a welly walk anyway and splashed in the puddles - we certainly did.
All the year 1 team are back in school today busy preparing your classrooms and planning lots of fun activities ready for some of you to return. We will continue to put activities we are doing in school onto the website for those of you staying at home.
This week your literacy work is based on the Mad Hatters Tea Party from Alice in Wonderland, we can't wait to see your work. In maths you are counting backwards in 2s!
As always, if you have any questions or just want to send an email to say hello, you can contact us at email@example.com we love hearing from you.
