Admission of pupils to The Berkeley Academy
There are two separate types of school admission at the Berkeley, reception intake and in year admission. The school has a single admission date in September. Currently 4 year old children are entitled to a place in a Reception class provided that our Standard Admission Number, or PAN of 60 children per year group or a Reception class maximum of 30 children per class, are not exceeded.
For annual intake, should the school be oversubscribed then places are allocated on criteria laid down by the Admissions Authority.
Admissions to the Reception Classes are administered by the Local Authority.
Parents are welcome to make an appointment to visit the school before making an application for admission.
