Local Links

The Creative Curriculum, which our school promotes, embeds the spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development of our pupils. The society in which we live prepares our pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life. It is vital that the children have a wider understanding of the area in which they live and make links within our own locality and community.

We aim to work towards a society in which there is a common vision and sense of belonging by all communities; a society in which the diversity of people’s backgrounds and circumstances is appreciated and valued; a society in which similar life opportunities are available to all; and a society in which strong and positive relationships exist and continue to be developed in the workplace, in schools and in the wider community.

We have formed positive and strong relationships with our local businesses which we have named our school Houses from; Cheerbrook, RBS, Potters, Snugburys and Prestige Motors. We continue to work with local High schools and primary schools, sharing resources, offering exciting enrichment days for our pupils, transition days and enabling the children to gain positive experiences.

We have formed a strong link with Belong Residential Home, where the children visit and share their knowledge and love of reading. Residents from Belong have attended assemblies and events at the school and the children are keen to form relationships with them.
