Summer Term 2023

June/July : Into the Forest and Ancient Egypt

This half term, we will be shifting our focus to learning about The Stone Age. This will involve looking at rock and fossils in science as well as learning about the local area in geography. We will be exploring the book, 'Into the Forest' by Anthony Browne in our English lessons where we will be learning about writing a lost narrative and a newspaper report. We will be adding to this page as we explore more about these topics so please check back to see what we have been learning about.

Homework

Each week you will be set some spellings to learn which will help you with next week's literacy tasks. There will also be Spelling Shed, Mymaths and Times Table Rock Stars tasks given out so please check the homework tab on the main page.

PE

PE for year 3 is on a Tuesday afternoon.

May/June : Egyptology and Ancient Egypt

This term, our learning is focused on learning about the secrets of Ancient Egypt. We will be using the book, 'Egyptology' with our English work and will be reading through the non-fiction book, 'The Genius of Ancient Egypt' as our reading book.
