Character curriculum
At The Berkeley Academy, we regularly evaluate our curriculum and assess how we can enhance the opportunities we provide every pupil beyond the classroom. We strive to provide 'Lasting Memories' and want to give each child an outstanding education that enables them to follow a pathway into adult life that matches their personal aspirations. This is not just about academic progress though, it is also about equipping pupils with the life skills needed to develop independence in the wider community. Our Character Curriculum is all about those extra activities which enrich school life and learning, giving pupils different personal successes, both big and small.
At The Berkeley Academy we have a whole range of enrichment activities and opportunities that go beyond the academic curriculum and prepare pupils for the challenges that lie ahead. Educational visits, school events and community links have been planned carefully to enhance our curriculum and the learning experiences for the children. As a staff, we have looked at how to capture these experiences so that we can share what the journey for a child will look like as they go through their time at The Berkeley.
