THIS WEEK'S HOMEWORK:
As it is half term we are not setting set pieces of homework. The children have worked extremely hard this half term and deserve a rest.
We have sent home a copy of the Year 1 and Year 2 spelling lists that children are expected to be able to read and spell by the end of this year. Please could you recap these words frequently with the children as it will benefit them greatly with their work in school.
Have a great half term everyone! We will see you on Tuesday 2nd November.
Please remember to read 3 times a week and complete the quiz on accelerated reader! PLEASE ENSURE THAT CHILDREN ARE LOGGING ON TO ACCELERATED READER THEMSELVES AND SEARCHING FOR THE BOOK THEMSELVES AS THERE ARE A LOT OF CHILDREN WHO RELY ON AN ADULT TO DO IT FOR THEM IN SCHOOL. AS YOU CAN IMAGINE, 30 CHILDREN ALL NEEDING HELP JUST LOGGING IN MAKES THINGS VERY DIFFICULT! THE SAME GOES FOR SPELLING SHED - THERE ARE LOTS OF CHILDREN WHO DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET ONTO SPELLING SHED THEMSELVES OR HOW TO LOG ON!
We are very lucky as a school that we have lots of ways for you to practise your learning at home. Below is a list of all the websites and activities you might like to use to keep learning at home. Each week, we will update this page to tell you which ones we definitely want you to do. If you want to do some others as well as the ones which are set for your homework then great! We will be checking that everybody as done at least what we have asked them to each week so make sure you check back on this page on a Friday to see what your homework tasks are. If you have any trouble accessing the homework that is set then please let us know via firstname.lastname@example.org. Have fun learning at home!
